Support & Join us in Building a Grassroots Movement for Change

You can get involved with our initiatives through any of the ‘Five T’s of Philanthropy—time, talent, ties, testimony, and treasure— which represent a holistic approach to giving back to our network.

Time

Your time is invaluable to us. Whether it’s a few hours a week or a day a month, volunteering allows you to directly impact our mission.

Talent

Your unique skills and expertise can propel our social enterprise forward, helping us to innovate and grow.

Treasure

Financial contributions, big or small, enable us to expand our reach, develop new programs, and create lasting change in our community.

Ties

We believe in networking for change, to amplify our collective impact and open doors to new opportunities.

Testimony

Talent

People are the beating heart of our movement. Contributing your talent is a cornerstone of our movement’s ability to create meaningful impact. While we have a small core team, our work relies heavily on the expertise and skills of passionate individuals like you. By offering your professional abilities, you enable us to expand our reach and enhance the quality of our programs across research, education, and media. These talent-based roles are often voluntary, as paid positions are dependent on external funding. However, your contribution of talent not only drives our current initiatives but also strengthens our capacity to secure future funding, creating a cycle of growth and increased impact. Your expertise, whether in research, mentoring, journalism, or other fields, is invaluable in turning our vision into reality and fostering lasting social change.

How our Social Enterprise is Structured:

The Humanitarian Changemakers Network (HCN) uses a hybrid social enterprise mode.

HCN operates under Changemaker Collective PTY LTD, a private company that engages in trade to generate profits, primarily through our ‘platforms’ – School of Social Impact (education), Changing Times News (media), and Theory of Change AU (consulting). Our platforms directly support those working to create change at the grassroots level, with 50% of all profits from our platforms redistributed to fund the Humanitarian Changemakers Network.

HCN is a decentralised network of collectives (known as Impact Initiatives) that are communities of practice, bringing changemakers together under a common goal or interest. These collectives are autonomous, with complete financial transparency via Open Collective, and only use funds to cover impact work. Collectives are funded by the social enterprise, as well as through direct contributions. Any direct contributions made to a collective or the network will only be used to fund impact projects, not any operational costs which are solely covered by Changemaker Collective.
