About Us
Humanitarian Changemakers Network is an impact and innovation hub for passionate humans from Australia and beyond working to co-create a better world. We help individuals fill their change-making toolkit, and work with purpose-driven groups and organisations to creatively problem solve and increase their impact on local and global challenges.
Education
We’re here to help change-makers fill their toolkit with the knowledge, skills, and resources to have maximum impact- whether they’re beginning their changemaker journey or looking to be a better change-maker!
Communication for Change
While traditional media is failing to keep young people properly informed about solutions to local and global challenges, we empower changemakers to share their own stories & transform the world.
A Networked ApproachÂ
We collaborate with our community & beyond through workshops & events to facilitate co-creation and collaboration between individuals, groups and organisations working across the social change space.
We’re a digital social enterprise, based out of Brisbane, Australia. We believe that every individual has the power to create positive change in their community and the world – we just need to give them the right tools! We do this through our online platform, which provides access to resources, training programs and networking opportunities for changemakers of all ages. We also work with organisations who are committed to making a difference by providing consultancy & coaching services, creative problem solving and thought leadership workshops & events, and educational stories, resources and tools.
The Humanitarian Changemakers Network was founded in 2020, evolving out of a series of workshops and resources created by our founder, Tiyana J, who had almost a decade of experience working and volunteering in the social change space. Tiyana couldn’t help but notice that many actors across the impact space faced problems associated with resource constraints, success metrics, and an environment of limited flexibility and room for innovation. As she became increasingly aware of the lack of collaboration across the sector, the lack of creative ways of thinking about and responding to challenges, and the barriers preventing more young people from engaging in the social change space, these local workshops evolved into the Humanitarian Changemakers Network.
